The South Dakota Basic Victim Assistance Academy (SDVAA) is a 40-hour Basic Academy curriculum that meets the requirements for the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) through the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA).
The Basic Academy is designed for advocates who are new to victim services and is structured to teach participants basic advocacy skills.
This program is offered annually each spring by the South Dakota Network and is open to all advocates working with victims of a crime. For more information, please contact Kathy Rutten: kathy@sdnafvsa.com
